Baltimore Ravens Overpower Kansas City Chiefs In NFL Wild Card

The Baltimore Ravens defense crushed the Kansas City Chiefs to win the round of the AFC Wild Card playoffs, 30-7 on Sunday. Kansas City had five turnovers in the game and was limited to 25 yards in the second half. Kansas City quarterback Matt Cassel had three interceptions and was sacked three times.Kansas City led 7-3 in the first quarter on a 41-yard touchdown by running back Jamaal Charles. Baltimore pulled away from a close 10-7 lead at halftime with two 29-yard field goals and a late touchdown passing play in the third quarter to lead 23-7.
Joe Flacco led Baltimore with two touchdown passes, making 25 of 34 passes for 265 yards. Billy Cundiff made three field goals, the last two pushing the Ravens further ahead in the third quarter. Willis NcGahee closed out scoring for the Ravens with a 25-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Baltimore meets Pittsburgh this coming Saturday for what is expected to be one of the most intense of rivalries. Judging from the way they manhandled the Chiefs, expect the game between the Ravens and Steelers to be highly physical.
